TVT (transmissible venereal tumors) is a highly contagious, yet highly treatable cancer that affects dogs. It is most commonly found among free roaming dogs that are not spayed or neutered.

It is also one of the biggest challenges we face as a rescue organization.

To safeguard the well-being of affected dogs and prevent the further spread of TVT within packs, we provide a vital service at our clinic. TVT patients lacking a safe space for isolation are brought to our facility for treatment, which involves 7 – 8 rounds of chemotherapy over several weeks.

During this critical period, the dogs stay with us in our dedicated kennels. Here, they receive the isolation necessary to protect others, along with ample food, water, and the essential medical attention required for their recovery.

Your support can make a difference in our efforts to combat TVT and provide compassionate care to dogs in need. By contributing to our TVT Cancer Care fund, you play a crucial role in funding chemotherapy sessions, sustaining kennel facilities, and ensuring that these dogs receive the care and attention they deserve. Join us in the fight against TVT and help us create a safer and healthier environment for our canine companions.
