I’m a young pup with a big heart. When I came to Rescue P.A.W.S I was very scared. I didn’t know where I was or what to expect. The people would bring snacks and treats to me but I wasn’t sure if I should take them. But then I noticed that the other dogs were so excited to see them. They would wag their tails and jump up and down every time they came.
The first time I went out of my kennel they tried to take me to a pen I’d seen the other dogs play in. I wasn’t sure about the leash around my neck and so I didn’t want to go. They scooped me up and carried me over to be with the other dogs and it was so much run. I could run and play and there was soft dirt to dig holes!
Over the next couple of weeks I found myself excited to see the people. They always had food, treats and fresh water. I realised they weren’t scary and just wanted to help me. Now that I’m not so scared they even take me to the beach! I get to run and play with the other dogs and we have so much fun. I like to dig bit holes and follow my friends on adventures. I’m still not sure about the water but I like to try and get a little closer every day. Now that I know the leash means that we’re going to have fun I’m not so scared of it anymore. I’m still learning but the Rescue P.A.W.S team are teaching me knew commands like “sit” and “lie down”. When I get it right I get a tasty treat!
They told me that they want to find me a home where I can play and be free all the time. It sounds wonderful and I’m so excited that I might have a person to call my own. I’m still a young pup and want to have fun and it would be amazing if I could find someone to help me explore and learn new things!
